Is stand up paddling for me?

Once again, Obidos lagoon is a phenomenal place to practice Stand Up Paddle. What makes it probably the safest and most suitable place in the country are the calm, shallow waters, free from waves, currents and maritime traffic, but also its extension and wonderful corners to explore that never end.

When planning your SUP session at Escola de Vela da Lagoa you should focus on light wind days, and the morning hours (10 am), in order to maximize your chances of having a perfect SUP day.

This sport is perfectly adapted to all practitioners from 10 years of age, who know how to swim and who feel comfortable in the water. For those who prefer shallow waters, you will find a shallow water plateau in front of the School to practice comfortably.
